CHILDREN AT RISK

Children at risk are children who are experiencing life-threatening situations like living in a family with domestic violence, defilement, rape, alcoholism, child neglect, extreme poverty, physical and emotional abuse among others.

Welcome to Home Sweet Home, our restoration center for Children at risk!

We are committed to assisting children at risk to secure their future by giving them accommodation in a safe environment, healthy food, education, healthcare and general well-being. Join us to sponsor just one child. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. May our good Lord bless you abundantly.

Thank you for being a part of our journey to transform the lives of children at risk. For more than a decade now we have been supporting children in so many ways through our various programs in education. This experience has taught us that we may not be achieving as much impact as we think because the children we support are constantly going back into the same experience we are working against. For a while now, this has been a burden for us but we had no viable solution to secure our impact among the children. We could not keep them out of their abusive homes where domestic violence is a way of life or protect them from their reckless guardians who drink alcohol irresponsibly putting these children at risk of being abused.

We want to change that. We want to keep these at-risk children with us for their entire school year as they study and stay in our guest cottages. This will give them a safe environment that will secure their childhood. The cottages will be the children’s dormitories until we get financial support to build their dormitories. Currently, we have selected 16 children at risk that will be staying with us at Home Sweet Home, our Restoration Home for children at risk in Misanga village, Kayunga district.

Working hand in hand is the only way we can be able to carry each other’s burdens to secure these children’s future by giving them an education and a safe environment away from their abusive homes.

We are looking for kind individuals to sponsor at least one child each for only $30 a month. This will help us to facilitate their accommodation, feeding, education and of course health care.

Kindly join us and commit only $30 a month for that one child of your choice. We are believing God for a miracle when you join us as one of the sponsors for these little ones because truly, you will be the hope. You will be the change. Kindly choose just one child to sponsor and your impact will be for generations. Thank you so much. May the good Lord bless you abundantly.

Sponsor a child of your choice:

This is Marion Nabukeera. She is one of our children. She joined our program when she was just 7 years old and we educated her primary level. She is now a young woman running her own business in the city while taking care of her family.

We are proud to see her develop into the amazing person that she has become.  Marion is an example of the impact that we want to continue creating among children at risk.  Join us to restore the lives of children at risk and to enable them to have a good future of their own.

In most incidences, we do not realize the impact that we have on these children’s lives until we see a total transformation like a school graduation or when they get a job and finally have the capacity to take care of themselves and the people they care about. This is a process that takes quite some time, and it demands patience and perseverance.

Your commitment to supporting a child is literally what makes the difference. It is the hope for a future that a child can call his/her own. Therefore, enjoy the whole thing, from the first day at Home Sweet Home, to their first day at school, and to all the fun activities as they grow up naturally into their next steps in life that will certainly transform them into responsible members of society with meaning and impact just like Marion and many others. Choose a child to sponsor. Change a life today.

Thank you!
